Lesson 17: Smoking

Almost every organ weakens when a person smokes. It weakens the body and leads to many diseases. Around 5 million dis yearly because of tobacco,wherein an individual dies every 8 seconds. Each stick of Cigar has 4,000 chemicals and consuming it would cut an individual life for at least 5 minutes.

 Cigarette contains the following:

  1. Hydrogen cyanide- a deadly substance used in gas chambers
  2. Insecticides
  3. Methanol
  4. Butane Fuels
  5. Benzene- causes leukemia
  6. Cadmium
  7. Formaldehyde- used for embalming

Substances from Tobacco:

1. Tar

-a harmful byproduct of cigarette smoking. It ruins air clearing process of lungs and air sacs; it is because of the carcinogenic.

2. Nicotine

-it is a toxic chemical compound that mostly consists nitrogen which also make cigarette addictive.

3. Carbon monoxide

-a poisonous chemical from burnt cigarette that makes the heart do more work to supply sufficient oxygen in the body.
